Warli Art

Warli Art is a tribal art of Maharashtra. It is believed that the tribal express their emotions through this art. The art consists of presenting stick figures representing celebrations/events/day-to-day life.
They use red as an underpaint on the walls of their huts and use white color to draw the figures.

Here is a small attempt to do a WARLI painting by me:

They usually depict flora and fauna ( i.e, plants, animals and birds) . These people are very much connected with nature and hence paint the walls of their huts with this art form. They consider themselves lucky to see pleasant art done inside and outside of their houses
